RebornJob is a career-transition support platform operated by DropOnAir B.V., registered in the Netherlands. We help people who have lost their jobs explore new career directions through interactive assessments, curated resources, and local partner organizations.

What data we collect

Assessment data (anonymous)

When you use our career assessment at /explore, we store your answers and accumulated tags in an anonymous session identified by a random token. No personal information is required — no name, no email, no login. This data is stored for 30 days and then automatically deleted.

Account data (optional)

If you choose to create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Display name
  • Country (for localized partner matching)
  • Authentication tokens (securely hashed)

Technical data

Like most websites, our servers log basic request information (IP address, browser type, pages visited). We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

How we use your data

  • Assessment matching: Your assessment answers are used to generate personalized career pivot suggestions, partner recommendations, and relevant blog content.
  • Account features: If registered, your assessment history and saved preferences are linked to your account for a persistent experience.
  • Service improvement: Aggregated, anonymized usage patterns help us improve our assessment questions and resource recommendations.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. When we link you to partner organizations (government services, training providers, NGOs), we do not transmit any of your data to them — you visit their sites directly.

Data storage & security

Your data is stored on secured servers within the European Union. We use encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and follow security best practices for data at rest. Passwords are hashed using BCrypt and never stored in plain text.

Your rights (GDPR)

As a user in or outside the EU, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to processing of your data
